Our White Water Rafting Tour in Rio de janeiro , is done in the Macaé river , located in the district of Casimiro de Abreu. around 02 hours from Rio de Janeiro city. The river is 80 km (50 miles) long with a rafting course of 8 km (5 miles) long. Once in the river, the rafting experience can last from 1:30 to 2 hours, according to the water level. The course has around 15 rapids, ranging from level 01 to 05 in summer, 01 to 04 in spring, 01 to 03 in fall and 01 to 02 in winter.

Usually, in summer we have a higher water level, which increases its difficulty and rapids speed. So in those days, rafting experience is more intense but with a shorter ride. In winter, the ride can be a little longer as water level decreases, as does the speed. The average water temperature is around 22º C (70ºF), year round. The landscape along the rafting course is awesome, and travelers can witness the lush vegetation of the Atlantic Forest.

Tour Program

• We collect our customers from their hotels and airbnb apartments in Rio city between 07:00 am and 07:30 am. We then drive for 02 hours to Casimiro de Abreu city, in the country side of Rio state. We arrive in our Rafting Base around 09:00/09:30 am . After going through safety tips the group will put the vests and helmets on before going in the river.
• The ride can take from 01 to 02 hours according to the water level in the river. We are back in the base between 11:00 am and noon. On the way back to Rio we can stop a local restaurant for lunch (no included in the price). We are back in Rio around 03:00/04:00 pm.
  
  

Itinerary

• Clients will meet our driver guide in front of their hotel/airbnb in the morning.
• Guide will drive for 2 hours until he reached our head quarters in Casimiro de Abreu city.
• After safety briefing the group will jump on the raft.
• After a 60/90 minutes fun ride, the ride is over.
• Back to our base.
• After changing and shower, back to Rio city.
