The Tijuca Forest Tour in Rio de Janeiro is perfect for those looking for some good moments in the outdoors . Visiting Rio and not seeing the forest is like going to New York City and not seeing Central Park. Rio is all about nature, exotic places, and amazing views. This beautiful green world is the home of birds, small mammals, and exotic plants. Common species are the Saguis and Capuchin monkeys, as well as the quatis (Brazilian raccoon), which can be easily spotted there. In terms of birds, toucans, Canarians, buzzards, hawks, and many other species can be seen in the park in their natural habitat.

Our Tijuca Forest Tour in Rio de Janeiro starts with hotel or airbnb pick ups at 08:00 am
We start going up the park through Horto around 8:30/09:00 am, which is a nice little neighborhood right behind the Botanical Gardens.
We stop at Vista Chinesa (Chinese View) for about 20 minutes, to contemplate the views of the Christ Statue as well as the Lagoa Area, Ipanema and Leblon.
We continue the tour towards sector A of the park, the main sector of the park, passing by Mesa do Imperador ( Emperor`s Table) and Vista do Almirante.
Once we arrive at sector A, we stop for a visit to Taunay Falls and the Visitor`s Center.
A short walk in the jungle may be provided, if the group requests, so people can get a feeling of the forest.
We are back at hotel around 12:00 noon. End of our operations.

Wear a good pair of walking shoes, comfortable clothes, a cap and sunscreen on sunny days, and mosquito repellent. Bring a lot of water and some snacks too.
