Santa Teresa is one of the highlights of Rio de Janeiro. The bohemian neighborhood up the hills has impressive views of the city and is quite different from other areas of Rio. Named after a monastery, the neighborhood attracted rich families in the early 19th century. By the late 19th century it became “the home of the bohemians and artists”.
In Santa Teresa, we visit the Escadaria Selaron (Selaron Steps), Largo do Curvelo, Largo dos Guimarães and Parque das Ruínas (Ruins Park). After that, we head out to Tijuca Forest National Park , where we visit the Vista Chinesa (Chinese View), Cascata Taunay (Taunay Waterfalls), and the Centro de Visitantes (Visitor Center). A short walk in the jungle is also included, so people can have a closer look to the fauna and flora. Tijuca Forest is known for being the largest urban florest in the world, with over 3000 species of plants, 2 species of monkeys and many species of birds, mammals and reptiles.

At 08:00 we collect our clients from hotels and airbnb apartments in Rio city.
Around 08:30 am we start visiting the sites in Santa Teresa.
At 10:00 am we head out towards the Tijuca Forest National park.
Around 10:30 am we arrive at the national park.
Between 12:30 and 01:00 pm we finish visiting the park and head back to hotel, arriving around 01:00 and 02:00 pm.
