Our Schooner Trip Rio de Janeiro takes you around the Guanabara bay area, to see its most interesting spots. The Guanabara Bay is the second largest bay in Brazil, measuring 31 kilometers long and 28 kilometers wide. The name Guanabara comes from the Tupi language and means sea bay. There are over 130 islands on the bay, which is crossed by the Rio- Niterói bridge (13 kilometers long). A regular ferryboat line connects Rio to Niterói city. The land escape around the bay is awesome and highlights include Sugar Loaf Mountain, the beaches of Niterói, the Boa Viagem island, and the amazing view of Rio once we are in Niterói.

Clients need to meet us at the Marina da Gloria at least 10 minutes before schedule.
Our Schooner Trip Rio de Janeiro departs from the Marina da Glória at 9:30 am and pass by the following places: Flamengo, Botafogo, Urca, Sugar Loaf, Fort of São João, Fort of Lage, Orla of Niterói city, Fortress of Santa Cruz, beaches of Adão e Eva, Jurujuba beach, Charitas beach, São Francisco beach,Icaraí beach, Flechas beach, Boa Viagem beach, MAC Museum,Gragoatá beach, fort of Gragoatá, Mocanguê island Rio-Niterói bridge, Enxadas island, Port of Rio,Cobras island, Fiscal island, Villegagnon island and Museum of Moderm Arts. Aboard the schooner, the tour guide will be talking about the landscape and history of the places we pass by.
At 11:30 we are back at the Marina. End of our operations.

Meet our staff at 9:15 am by the Cais Nobre (main deck). Boat leaves at 09:30am. Do not miss it ! Details on the voucher
Wear comfortable shoes and clothes, a cap and sunscreen on sunny days.

Usually our cut-off time ranges from 12 HS to 48 HS ,depending on the tour. Remember that during the check out process, you will be directed to PayPal for the payment. It you don’t have a PayPal account, you can easily open a free account in a few minutes. All you need is to use your email, create a password and add a credit card to your new account. If you don’t want to open an account, you will not be able to pay with a credit card, and will only be able to pay via local bank transfer( PIX).
1- Tour happens rain or shine. We only cancel it in case of a storm or high speed winds.
