In our Santa Teresa Tour, we visit the Selarón steps, one of Rio`s post cards.The steps were designed by Chilean artist Jorge Selarón with colorful mosaic tiles. Selarón spent years collecting tiles from the streets ofRio and then, after the place became popular, he started accepting additional tiles, donated by visitors from all over the world. 

We also visit the Parque das Ruínas (RuinsPark) located in the ruins of the old mansion that was once the home of Laurinda Santos, a patron who would gather artists and intellectuals for social meetings in the early 20th century. The mansion has been partially restored and
is now used as a cultural center hosting various exhibitions, events and special programs.  

And the tour is not complete if we do not drive through the main squares of Santa Teresa, like Largo dos Guimarães, where the tram comes and goes all day long. This area is certainly a historical part of Rio that cannot be missed.
