Our White Water Rafting in Paraibuna River in Rio de Janeiro happens In Três Rios City just 2 hours away from Rio City, on Paraibuna River. The Paraibuna river is considered one of the best in Brazil for practicing the sport, as it has a large volume of water and does not depend on rain to have a good level of rafting. It has class 2 and 3 rapids and allows the practice of the sport throughout the year.

Usually, in summer we have a higher water level, which increases its difficulty and rapids speed. So in those days, the rafting experience is more intense but with a shorter ride. In winter, the ride can be a little longer as the water level decreases, as does the speed. The average water temperature is around 22º C (70ºF), year-round. The landscape along the rafting course is awesome, and travelers can witness the lush vegetation of the Atlantic Forest. 

Our base is located in the countryside of the state of Rio de Janeiro, exactly where the Paraibuna, Paraiba do Sul and Piabanha Rivers meet. The base has a restaurant, restrooms, bar, parking, and swimming pool, among other things. The base is located within a reservation area, so it is possible to observe a beautiful portion of the Atlantic forest and a wide variety of wild animals.

Tour Program:

Pick up in Rio at 6:30 am, driving towards Três Rios city. At 08:30 we arrive at the base. Clients will need to sign some documents. Distribution of equipment and changing clothes. At 09:30 am the group will depart from the base towards the start of the course. At 10:30 am we start the ride. Between 12:30 and 01:00 pm the ride ends At 01:30 pm we disembark at the base for lunch. At 02:30 we drive back to Rio, arriving around 04:30 pm. End of our operation.
